About Karmen Mihalinec

As a teenager, at the urging of her mother, she began practicing yoga, which was soon accompanied by Buddhism. Together with Žarko Andričević, she is the co-founder of the Buddhist Center in Zagreb, Croatia, the head of the School for Zenyoga Teachers and the author of the book Zenyoga — developing mindfulness through movement. As a director of Chan Center, she was overseeing and managing its construction, where she now teaches and leads shorter retreats. She graduated Indian Studies and Philosophy in Zagreb and is finishing her PhD in Buddism.
When she is not weeding the garden at the Chan Center, she coordinates and develops its programs. She also translates from English and Sanskrit and studies yogācara.
