‘Waves and Stillness’ workshop in Berlin

Yoga And Buddhist Studies

with Tatjana Mesar, founder of Dynamic Mindfulness

Sunday, August 14th, 2022

from 17:00 till 19:00

at Yoga Sky, Am Tempelhofer Berg 7D, 10965 Berlin

In this 2-hour workshop Tatjana will guide you to step out of logical, compartmentalized thinking into an experiential journey to feel the body as a continuum of experiences. We start by exploring functional movement patterns and transitions and then expand and find variations on a theme.

The aim is to stop moving on automatic pilot and to awaken curiosity that can take us to increasingly refined experiences.

Such practice offers new entrance points into the mindfulness of the body, also called ‘suchness’ of the body in Zen Buddhist teaching.

Workshop is open to all open minded and curious practitioners.

Price: 30 Euros

What is Dynamic Mindfulness?

Dynamic Mindfulness is a contemporary yoga style rooted in Zen Buddhist wisdom and informed by up to date movement science. It was created by yoga and meditation educator Tatjana Mesar in Berlin and it gathers a lively international community of practitioners worldwide.

How does it work?

Dynamic Mindfulness works with the body as it actually is – tailoring movement to fit our bodies rather than our bodies to fit the form. Movement is based on real-world situational biomechanics and involves multi-planar movements including circles, spirals, rebound, and undulations.

The method moves away from linear approaches to the body, asana, and transition. The method can be applied to any yoga style and it is a safe and healthy way to move our joints, connective tissue, and the system as a whole.

It steps away from disciplining the body and moves towards a more understanding and caring approach. The body itself sets the directives.

Who is it for?

You seek for tools that will get you out of the head and into your body.

You enjoy a variety of movement options for practicing flexibility and strength in the body.

You love yoga, but you’re not crazy about the flowery yoga talk.

You’ve experienced the benefits of meditation, but you need support for being consistent.

Critical thinking and evidence based is right up your alley.

You love spicing your yoga practice with inquiries into body politics, art, science and daily life.

Community is important for you, but you’re also comfortable with going your own way.
